Word Y'all,
After a wicked first crack at the Little Baobab sound system two weeks ago, I'll be back on the decks this Thursday, January 1st for the official start of TERENGA, a new weekly jump-off featuring diverse beats from some of the Bay Area's stillmatic selectors.
We'll be covering all the bases of Global Bass on the night - expect to hear hip-hop, dancehall, reggae, dub, bhangra, afrobeat, middle eastern, funk, glitch, dubstep, baltimore club, breaks, house, electro, bassline, grime and yeah, we'll bang on the kitchen sink, too, if it feels right. Skip the Beauty Bar bougie tight jean scene and get down for real with a bodyrockin' international crowd.
Come early to avoid the (cheap) cover and to sample Little B's tasty West African menu - their plantains and veggie curry go great with a hibiscus margarita, or so I've heard.
